-The major event that caused the house to be empty was a nuclear bomb that destroyed the people living in that town/ city and devastated nature and animals.

This was a wonderful story with a theme that really got to me. This story said that humanity now has the power to be able to destroy itself, as well as nature. It is quite eye-opening.
